Conditions for delivery and returns
Please read through these conditions carefully.
It must be emphasised that A & J Young is a very small enterprise.
Pots are made and packed by ourselves from start to finish.
The hand making process means that every pot will have its own idiosyncrasies.
Small impurities in the clay, variations in the glaze colour and some crazing in the glaze are all part of the character of an individual pot and will not affect their function.
Please be aware that the weight of the pot is stated in the details of each item. The larger pots are substantial.
Please be sure to examine your pot when you unpack it.
Keep all the packaging if you are unsure about your purchase.
The ordering process
Every item is packed in its own dedicated box.
We use either Post Office Standard 2nd class postage or Parcelforce.
Our postage prices are based on those charged at the Post Office (see ‘Postage Charges’ below).
We post to addresses in the UK.
If you want to post a parcel outside the UK please phone us for a quote.
We may not be packing parcels every day so please make sure you order in good time.
From ordering to receiving your parcel could take 5 working days.
It is essential that you provide a clear and correct postal address and to make sure there is somewhere for the deliverer to leave the parcel safely. Let us know if there are special instructions for the postman.
If there is any damage or a breakage we need to know WITHIN 3 DAYS.
We also require a photo of the breakage to be sent by email so that we can confirm it is genuine.

Band B- £11.00
Band C- £15.00
Band D- £20.00
All postage charges are subject to review and adjustment.
Please unwrap your pots as soon as they arrive.
If you wish to return a pot it must be packed in the same materials and in EXACTLY THE SAME WAY as it was sent, carefully secured with parcel tape.
Let us know by phone or email WITHIN 5 DAYS if you are not satisfied with your purchase.

If an item arrives back with us broken or damaged we cannot refund.
If a returned item is lost in transit we cannot refund so make sure you keep your proof of postage.
Unless the error is ours a refund will not include any delivery charges.
